I’ve been at work the entire weekend. Our company just bought another company (to which we were already closely related) and i’ve spent the past several hours moving computers from their old domain into our new one, setting up email accounts, installing software, etc. At one point a lady from Enable, the company we just bought out, came and asked if the internet was down. I told her ‘I looked into it, and it seemed like it was just a bunch of ads and dirty pictures, so I got rid of it.’
Our company’s computer account names are ‘first name, last’ initial, so my name is markn. If there was another markn to join, say ‘mark newton’, he’d have to take the second letter of his last name, to be ‘markne.’ There’s a guy named ‘Randy Haines’ that I’ve worked since I started at AtriCure, and there’s a guy named ‘Randy Hopkins’ at Enable. Randy Hopkin’s log in name would have been ‘randyho’ but it got changed to ‘randyhop.’ I like the sound of that.
