		<description>that would be the coriolis effect; someone else proposed the same thing. The thing is, water in a fountain like that is much too small a body to be effected by the coriolis force.</description>

		<description>did the water move clockwise or counterclockwise? you stated clockwise in an earlier paragraph, then counterclockwise later. I think there is some sort of bernoulli principle or whatever stating water flows counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the southern.</description>
